Twilight's Brief Respite on the Beach

Done for day 25 of the NATG for the prompt of "Draw a pony at the beach/Draw a pony surfing." I went through a couple tries of this picture with different poses but I really like how this particular image turned out. I tortured myself trying to perfect Twilight laying on a beach chair and reading a book but eventually I came up with this instead. Unfortunately most of the water portion of the beach I drew is cut off and I probably could have included other ponies. However, landscape and perspective are not my strong suit so it might be for the best that I was not more ambitious. There really are not many good reference pictures with Alicorn Twilight yet so this was a bit of a struggle to do. There was a lot of guesswork for her wings and even though the cutie mark and some other small details didn't turn out too great, I am still proud of this picture. Once again I am not happy with the colors I have to do Twilight but I think they turned out all right in this picture.
I did go to my family's beach house for a few days this summer but spent my time babysitting rather than the reading and relaxation I wanted to do. This is pretty much what I would like to do if I was on the beach right now -.-. Please leave me some feedback if you enjoyed this or any other of my pictures, I would appreciate it .
